Ashley verteld op de rode loper van haar nieuwste film “In Dubious Battle” aan variety.com waarom het een een belangrijk verhaal is om te vertellen.

Franco, a Steinbeck fan since his teenage years, said he wanted to recreate this book into a film because it had been a significant piece that, until now, was never adapted on screen.

“I read it and I realized it’s such an amazing story,” Franco said. “It was also very topical and eternal in its themes — about a labor strike, about the haves and have nots. I thought it was an important story to tell.”

Co-star Greene added that the film’s endorsement of team work over individual battle as fuel for change is an important concept that applies to many present-day social efforts.

“I think its resoundingly clear that we’re going through the same thing right now and we’re fighting for equality,” she said. ‘I think its going to be something, especially right now, that people are going to easily relate to. It’s going to touch a lot of peoples hearts because we all right now, I think, feel that fire.”

“In Dubious Battle” had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 3, 2016, and will hit theaters in the U.S. on Feb. 17.

Ashley heeft in een interview laten weten dat zij en haar verloofde Paul geen plannen hebben om binnenkort te trouwen. Ze laat wel weten inspiratie op te doen voor wat ze graag zou willen maar wil een zo stessvrije trouwerij plannen als mogelijk is.

Ashley Greene admits she’s been checking out Pinterest for wedding inspiration, but she also insists that she and her fiancé Paul Khoury won’t be getting hitched anytime soon.

The Twilight actress and Australian TV personality got engaged in December.

“Definitely nothing this year, perhaps next year,” Greene told E! News while promoting her new movie In Dubious Battle. “I’m still at the point of looking down at my hand and going ‘Oh, my God! I’m engaged!’…I kind of want to relish in that first before taking on planning a wedding. We are going to try to make it as easy as possible but planning a wedding is a stressful thing for anyone and I just want to enjoy being engaged before I go down that road.”

Ashley was gisteren aanwezig op bij de première van haar nieuwste film “In Dubious Battle” in L.A.

Er gaan geruchten de ronden dat Ashley één van de actrices is die in de running is om de rol van Domino te gaan spelen in de de film ‘Deadpool 2’.

Ashley’s laatste film “In Dubious Battle” zal op 21 maart op DVD en Blu-ray verschijnen in Amerika. Er is nog niets bekend over een eventuele Nederlandse release van de film.

De eerste poster van het nieuwe seizoen van ‘Rogue’ is verschenen, deze begint op 22 maart in Amerika.
