Universal Studios gaat Ashley’s film ‘Shangri-La Suite’ uitbrengen op DVD en Bluray onder de naam ‘Kill The King’ in Groot-Britanië. De film verschijn op 14 november en is al te bestellen via Amazon. Het is nog niet bekend of er ook extra op discs staan.
Vooralsnog zijn er geen plannen om de film in Nederland of België uit te brengen, je kan de film wel bestellen omdat de Britse DVD en Blu-Ray regio’s bij ons het zelfde zijn – er zal hoogstwaarschijnlijk geen Nederlandse ondertiteling op staan.
The UK branch of Universal Studios will release on Blu-ray dierctor Eddie O’Keefe’s film Kill the King a.k.a. Shangri-La Suite (2015), starring Emily Browning, Luke Grimes, Ashley Greene, Avan Jogia, Ron Livingston, and Reiley McClendon. The release will be available for purchase on November 14.
There are no special features listed on the current announcement.
Synopsis: Emily Browning and Luke Grimes star in this crime drama co-written and directed by Eddie O’Keefe. The film follows Karen Bird (Browning) and Jack Blueblood (Grimes), two young lovers who escape a mental institution to travel to Los Angeles in a bid to kill Elvis Presley (Ron Livingston). After coming up with the scheme following a vision from Jack’s dead mother, the pair set off on their journey in the summer of 1974, vowing to murder their idol and anyone else who gets in the way. The cast also includes Ashley Greene and Avan Jogia.
De opnames van de film ‘Shangri-La Suite’ zijn inmiddels al zo’n twee jaar geleden afgerond, maar nu is er eindelijk nieuws! De film zal op 16 september 2016 uitkomen in Amerika.
De film heeft daarnaast een officiële website, maar ook een eigen instagram, twitter, facebook en tumblr account. Hier zijn al enkele foto’s van de film op verschenen, helaas nog niet van Ashley in haar rol als Priscilla Presley. Maar met de nadere release zullen die binnenkort waarschijnlijk ook wel verschijnen.

De producent Arclight Films van Ashley’s opkomende film ‘Shangri-LA suite’ heeft laten weten eerste beelden aan mogelijk distributeurs te laten zien op het Cannes Film Festival dat momenteel plaats vindt. De film is in post-production en ze hopen hiermee de film te verkopen zodat deze uitgebracht gaan worden :) Opnames van de film vonden vorig jaar maart plaats.

Shangri-La Suite Offers Strong Cast

Livingston made a name for himself and earned a major cult following with his roles in OFFICE SPACE and SWINGERS and boasts lifetime box office earnings of more than $425M (US). Browning followed suit with her roles in films like SUCKER PUNCH, SLEEPING BEAUTY and POMPEII and already has box office earnings nearing the $300M (US) mark. Grimes also boasts a consistently growing fan-base since that has achieved a massive boost after his latest starring-role in FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. The film’s sequel has already been announced with Grimes back in the lead as the formidable Elliot Grey.
SHANGRI-LA SUITE tells the story of the offbeat star-crossed lovers, Jack (GRIMES) and Karen (BROWNING), and their dark adventure on the road to Los Angeles. After breaking out of the mental institution where they met, the two love birds leave behind a trail of dead bodies to help Jack fulfill what he thinks is his personal life mission: assassinating his idol, Elvis Presley.
