Ashley is gecast in de nieuwe medische drama film ‘One in A Million’, samen met enkele andere. In de film die gebaseerd is op een waargebeurd verhaal zal ze de rol van Cindy Kassis gaan spelen. Een moeder wiens zoons onverwacht het zeldzameem Hemofagocytair syndroom blijkt te hebben en er alles aan doet om haar zoon te redden. Opnames van de film zullen plaats vinden in Dallas en de film wordt geregisseerd door één van Ashley’s beste vrienden Tanner Beard.

Ashley Greene (Twilight), Russell Quinn (CSI NY), Elizabeth Tabish (The Chosen), Andy Buckley (The Office) and Roxton Garcia (Heels), making his feature lead debut, headline One In A Million, a medical drama based on true events that explores the role of faith in the face of impossible odds.

Principal photography is underway in Dallas, Texas, on the film which follows the Kassis family, whose healthy young son, Jade, is suddenly stricken with HLH — a rare and deadly blood disorder that throws them into a battle for his life. As doctors race to find answers and the family strives to maintain hope, the project “explores the line between the medical and the miraculous”.

Ashley Greene, best known for starring as Alice Cullen in the Twilight films, stars as mother Cindy Kassis. The Chosen star Tabish plays the family’s physician.

The film is directed by Tanner Beard (Blood Behind Us) who said: “The Kassis family’s real life account truly moved me when I heard what they went through as a family unit and how they never lost their faith in each other, faith in the medical staff and faith in what they believe in- it’s such a powerful narrative and one I felt very honored to tell, especially with Ashley Greene Khoury, Russell Quinn and the rest of the amazing cast.”
