Ashley heeft met People gepraat over wat zij denkt over het huwelijk van haar oud Twilight-collega Nikki Reed en acteur Nikki Reed. Ze is meer dan blij voor haar collega die volgens haar heel gelukkig is in haar relatie met Ian. In 2009 is Ashley romantische gelinkt aan Ian toen ze samen een nachtclub verlieten.

As the two enjoy their exotic, multi-locale honeymoon following their April 26 nuptials, Reed’s former Twilight costar, Ashley Greene, can confirm that the couple are basically perfect for each other.

“I’m so excited for her,” Greene, 28, told PEOPLE at an event for Love Is Louder, which was hosted by Bioré, in Los Angeles on Wednesday. “I saw her at Coachella and she was just glowing, and now, I mean, I get why. She’s just so happy. That’s what you have to find in life and when you do find it, I think you should run with it and I think that’s what she did.”

Greene went on to admit that it’s true the couple have not been together for very long – they were first spotted together last July and became engaged in February – but said that doesn’t really matter: “When you know, you know. I’m ecstatic for her.”

Somerhalder, 36, and Reed, 26, work so well together because “they’re both extremely passionate people who care very deeply about whatever it is they choose to put their time and energy into,” said Greene. “I feel like they must connect on that level. I think that they are both lovers of life and that they see the beauty in the very small things.

“Ian’s really, really big into the world around him,” Greene explained. “And animals. They have so many animals! I’m like, ‘Dude, I have four dogs and I thought that was bad.’ Geez. They have a horse, they have a couple of dogs … but, yeah. I think just the love of life is probably one of the core [things] bringing them together.”
